Semesteranfang (16 Okt - 23 Okt)

This week it was the start of what it is most likely my last semester actually going to university.

It was kind of light, many lectures do not start until next week. Nevertheless, it always means a change.


Gestern gab es eine Spanische Party in München. Sind so viele Spanier hier gekommen das im Moment es hört sich sehr normal aus. Ich war ganz überrascht so viele Leute zu sehen. Das war die erste party dieses Art, aber ich glaube das wird weiter gehen in Zukunft.

Ayer me llamo la atención que es tal la cantidad de españoles/personas de habla española en Munich que en ciertas horas del día, especialmente a partir de medianoche, se oye más español que aleman...  La verdad es que si caminas por el centro es muy facil escuchar español...

Una de las cosas positives que torna amb la rutina és l'esport, que aquest semestre intentaré prendre amb més ganes i més constància. En ocasions anteriors a l'hora de la veritat, sigui per X o per Y sempre deixava en un segon planol per fer altres coses.

Siempre que nos encaminamos a conseguir objetivos, hay fechas en las que se decide dónde te encuentras en ese camino. Una especie de juicio donde los resultados hablan.
Nada más importa. No se habla de cómo sucedió o cuándo, no se trata de cuánto tiempo invertiste ni de la fe o esfuerzo que pusiste en la tarea, tan sólo  el trabajo hecho habla. Hasta que ese momento llego, tan solo se trata de trabajo, de pasión y dedicación.

I have always found the english language the appropriate one as the most indicated to deal with business, coaching, inspiration, enterpreneurship ... because it has the right words, the rights expressions to convey the necessary speech in this field... It is a speech about passion, competition and how to succeed in it.

Das Erste Jahr in München

El dia 28 de Mayo de 2010 llegué a Munich procedente de un vuelo de Airberlín desde Barcelona. 

Nervios, porque era consciente de que no se trataba de un día cualquiera, sino que se trataba del día que empezaba una nueva etapa en mi vida. Recuerdo la impresión que me produjo la pasarela que se erigía entre terminales. Mirada al cielo para observar la forma convexa del vidrio, apoyada en columnas que convertía en un juego de niños identificar a aquellos viajeros que no frecuentaban el aeropuerto. 

Mientras cruzaba ese espacio abierto entre terminales, pensé en ello como una metáfora de bienvenida, imaginé que reconocer estas inconfundibles significa para muchos volver a casa ... o marcharse de ella.

Recuerdo que era un día lluvioso. Recuerdo como en el trayecto desde el Aeropuerto al centro de la ciudad las gotas de lluvia resbalaban por la ventana. Acompañado por dos maletas repasaba el trayecto que había consultado por internet horas antes hasta mi destino, buscando con la mirada algo que me recordara mi visita de vacaciones que hice hace un par de veranos. Intentando identificar algo que me resultara familiar.

Arribant a Hbf i vaig trobar-me amb una estampa que curiosament em va semblar familiar. Vies que es multiplicaven, gent movent-se d'una banda cap altra, mastegant sense parar de caminar, mirades furtives ara al rellotge, ara cap amunt buscant quant temps falta perquè arribi el tren. Vaig parar un moment per observar la circulació de la gent, i els seus sorolls combinats amb els de trens, xiulets i anuncis per megafonia. Tot funcionant  de forma extranyament sincronitzada. El batec de l'estació que encara recordo, però que avui no em un altre

Va ser per a mi un primer contacte amb la ciutat on fa un any ara vaig arribar. Va ser una presentació de com funciona Alemanya, i del que m'esperava a la ciutat. M'ho vaig prendre com una invitació, fer una passa endavant i agafa el teu tren. I així vaig fer-ho.

Vaig agafar el metro. Vaig trobar-me amb el lleó d'stiglmaierplatz i vaig pensar, jo ja he vist aquest lleó abans. La idea "Això m'agradarà" em va passar pel cap.

I took a flight a couple of days before my first day at work. I wanted to walk a little around the city, try to get familiarised in some personal way to the city. I noticed that the monk, was the reason of the name of Munich. I learnt that the lion was one of the emblems of the city and soon I would learn that beer was the other one. I felt like in a first date with no one else but myself and a city, clocks in the top of churches, and other places soon to be familiar directions, logical associations in my head, and bright ideas to spend time or share a drink with friends.

I have to say that my experience in my first year in Munich is positive. It has been never tough to adapt to the city, but there are still many things I need to do to feel completely part of it. I consider myself lucky for the people I met who helped me in the process, for the choices I made and for staying hungry ...

Vivir intensamente... tiene efectos secundarios (1st week of May)

Si hay algo que no necesita ningún tipo de explicación o justificación es vivir intensamente.


Con el tiempo me he dado cuenta, que muchas veces los malentendidos son puntos de desencuentro que se hacen insalvables, en parte porque nunca nacieron de un punto común.

La definición, el concepto es el punto de partida. Por eso es necesario a veces dejar de lado la línea de meta y pensar en tomar la misma salida. Cómo? Hacer Preguntas simples y buscar respuestas fáciles...

¿ Y que es vivir intensamente?

Dejarse llevar, preguntarse que quieres e intentar hacerlo, no dejar de soñar y luchar por tus sueños, encontrar cada día la energía que te haga poderoso, la ilusión que haga mirar siempre hacia adelante, la emoción que hace el ahora y también hará el después diferente... 

Una canción nueva, un capítulo del libro que estás leyendo, una nueva palabra que has aprendido en otro idioma o una conversación con un amigo, un beso de despedida, un abrazo inesperado...

Cada setmana que passa no només la marquen les coses que tens al calendari, les coses que se suposa que has de fer, sinò també les decisions inesperades i tot allò que sobtadament descobreixes o apareix a la teva vida. 

Crec en les sensacions poderoses, tsunamis que agafen el timó sense demanar permís i que malgrat no tenir direcció prenen el contol, deixen impremta perquè no atenen a raons, perquè passen poques vegades i perquè no et deixen indiferent.

Però un repte encara més difícil però també que també em fa sentir més complet es trobar-li un sentit a aquestes sensacions, encabir-les dintre de la teva vida, donar-li direcció i fer-les part de quelcom més gran... 

dominar la energia sense perdre-la, trobar algu que ho faci amb tu... algú com tu...

Last week I went back to uni... sommersemester. I slided in "Parabelrutschen" in the Mathematik faculty in garching, combined classes with my internship. 

New projects and "hausaufgabe" look now not so far in my schedule... 

I also had time to go to a Friend's grill dinner, I spent time just enjoying the company with friends... and get to know better someone that is starting to make an impact on me... 

It does not seem a lot but, side effects pile up asking for some time to rest... 

Sant Jordi... und ... Frühlingsfest

El miércoles 28 celebré mi primer Sant Jordi lejos de Barcelona. No es el primer Sant Jordi que paso en el extranjero pero es el primero que celebro (aunque no fuera el 23 de Abril) lejos de Barcelona.

Me reuní con un grupo de catalanes que ya hace bastante tiempo que han acogido a Munich como su lugar de residencia y se reúnen una vez al mes para hacer tertulia ... . Es una grata sensación sentirse en un ambiente familiar (hablando en catalán, haciendo bromas del APM?, debatiendo el partido del Barça) a pesar de estar lejos de tu ciudad.

La cuestión es que cada uno traía una rosa, un libro y unos versos de alguna obra conocida (novela,teatro, poesía) divididos en dos partes. Durante la reunión intercambiamos el libro y repartimos los papeles de la obra para tratar de adivinar de qué obra se trataba y poder leer las partes de forma alternativa entre los asistentes. Lástima que no pude quedar hasta el final.

Sant Jordi es una de los días en los que "hace más gozo" (fa més joia, goig) pasear por la ciudad condal y lo considero uno de los días más especiales donde parece que la gente está especialmente de buen humor y disfruta de la ciudad con mayor intensidad. He començat a llegir el llibre que vaig triar per Sant Jordi i he de reconèixer que està escrit per ser una novel·la best-seller de Sant Jordi.

Fàcil de llegir i connex. Estructurat en capítols curts i senzill que intenten transmetre una idea concissa però poderosa. Ho fa associant un escenari, una persona o una situació que vol recrear quelcom més genèric. Intenta connectar amb el lector buscant punts en comú en cadascuna d'aquestes píndoles mentre salta d'una banda a una altra, d'una ciutat a una altra tot explicant la història que transcorre a la vida del Dani, el protagonista de la novel·la. Crec que l'acabaré en una setmaneta...

Yesterday, Frühlingsfest set forth "auf der Wies'n" in Munich. I visited it with some friends and I am intending to come back today... It looks like a small Oktoberfest designed for teens (coming, mostly from America) although it may as well be a good opportunity to have weekend fun before everything gets back to the routine that tags along with University.

Happiness only real when shared

Bad week, sick the whole of it... got the flu... fever and sneezing... and alone :(
After the pain... today, I am feeling better, kind of. Good side is that I Got some time to think about stuff...

I think we do this quite a lot more than we are aware of. However, we don't realize because we normally do not get to a conclusion or a point where we can say, ok, I was thinking about that... and I need to do that. That's a pretty machine result-oriented approach... and people (in general) is not like that, we are chaotic and sometimes random, able to connect things apparently far from each other and miss the most obvious ones.

I think that both ways of doing can work together. It is about to get right to the point, be practical and say it out loud, ... whatever it is!... or write it down, explain it or make something so that it does not go away.
That does not imply forgetting about what is the path you took to get there, but experience has shown me that I cannot trust my memory...

I found today that many good ideas that come up are sometimes unfortunately like man-made chemical elements with a very short time of life. And there is a reason for that. It is difficult to find a place and a moment to carry out everything that comes up to one's mind. I found this when I discovered in some papers some of the stuff I had planned to do some time ago... and I still want to do. I just cannot imagine how I could forget about it... or putting it somehow somewhere deep in my mind.

So, I'll try to seize all these butterflying ideas next time... Got to find a way... (post-its can help :)

I also watched a movie today and I enjoyed it a lot! INTO THE WILD
Totally recommended... especially if you are into nature, doing wild trips and being off the grid... or at least if you have ever had that thought running in your head or your heart beat changes when talking about the idea.

Follow your dreams, challenge yourself, test your limits... but do not forget what is important and what makes your life good and what things make you happy in your life ...

Decisiones

Las decisiones marcan el camino de nuestras vidas.

En ocasiones es fácil decidir, pues todo está bajo control. Cuando todas las señales apuntan en la misma dirección las decisiones son más fáciles de tomar.

Entonces decidir es un mero juego en el que tenemos el poder para conducir en la dirección que apunta nuestro deseo: hacer paradas, cambiar de velocidad y disfrutar del paisaje son las bondades de un placentero viaje que discurre a voluntad. Decidir es entonces un mero trámite,  traducido en décimas de segundo necesarias para que las ordenes circulen de un lado a otro en nuestro cuerpo, para que nuestros músculos se muevan, las palabras salgan de nuestra boca... y las 

Sin embargo, a menudo las decisiones vienen precedidas de sucesos que alteran cierta rutina, que descolocan, hechos que nos contradicen, que hacen surgir dudas o incertidumbres respecto a aquello que damos por sentado... entonces las decisiones se hacen complicadas.

A veces somos rehenes de nuestras decisiones pues nos mantenemos fieles a compromisos que el tiempo desgasta o aleja de nuestros deseos. En otras, las decisiones son la razón y el sentido en el que apoyamos nuestras vidas, la base sobre la cual construir aquello que queremos llegar a ser. Otras veces, meditamos y jugamos con ellas, intentando buscar la manera de hacerlas encajar con nuestra voluntad como piezas de puzzle de formas incompatibles.

A veces tomamos decisiones movidos por hechos que se escapan de nuestro control, pequeñas alteraciones pueden cambiar el rumbo que llevan nuestras vidas... El ser humano es pasional, antojadizo e impulsivo en ocasiones y cerebral, lógico y predecible en otras. Nos mueven los instintos pero también las certidumbres y el equilibrio entre ambos es como una fórmula de cocacola originalmente guardada en cada uno de nosotros con diferentes ingredientes.

Un día más soleado de lo normal, cruzar una mirada en el momento adecuado o dejar de hacerlo, permanecer o arriesgarse, jugar aquél partido, enviar aquél mensaje, ir a aquella fiesta, cruzar aquél puente o preguntar por aquella dirección, dar aquel abrazo ... puede ser la razón por la cual puedes viajar a la otra punta del mundo o no hacerlo, aprender un idioma, cambiar tu profesión o conocer a la persona más importante de tu vida.

¿Cómo saber si has tomado las decisiones adecuadas? Lo cual lleva a la pregunta... cuáles son las decisiones adecuadas? ... El tiempo y la memoria dejan ver que camino has tomado cuando se llega a estas encrucijadas que son las decisiones. Aciertos o errores en la vida son a menudo valoraciones subjetivas, que reflejan o no quien eres pero que sin duda definen donde estás hoy en día.

Cada decisión tiene importancia, en ocasiones se escapa al entendimiento...
